Artists reflect- After completing my charcoal drawing of the empire state building I realized that the charcoal didn't get lighter in a lot of places like I thought it should to display the light source. I then went back and darken a lot of spots on the main building to portray the light from the street lights on the ground as this was drawn from a picture taken at night.
Artist take risks- I took a risk by using charcoal on my drawing it can be a little intimating as it is a lot harder to erase then pencil. After I redid the charcoal I think it came out very well a lot better then I thought it would at the beginning.
