Artists reflect- After completing my charcoal drawing of the empire state building I realized that the charcoal didn't get lighter in a lot of places like I thought it should to display the light source. I then went back and darken a lot of spots on the main building to portray the light from the street lights on the ground as this was drawn from a picture taken at night.

This drawing is a scientific drawing on the iPad of a turtle shell. I learned a lot about spacing correctly with this piece. This project is successful because it highlights the imperfections of the turtle's shell. If I were to draw this turtle again I would space the lines around the shell more evenly.
This next piece is a perspective drawing of a hallway. While drawing this picture I learned about 1 point perspective. This piece was successful because it taught us how to draw 1 point perspective. If I were to draw it again I would change the vanishing point. This last piece is a still life of a beetle. I learned a lot about the shading values. This project is successful because it has nice shading values. If I were to do this again I would focus more on the shell not the whole beetle. |
